Dozens of families flocked to Allegheny RiverTrail Park in Aspinwall July 15 for another installment of the Rock the River concert series.

Concerts are free throughout the summer.

Singer/songwriter David Powell of Outside Eliza and blues artist Domenic Fusca performed at the July 15 show.

New friends Abigail Cruz, 6, of Aspinwall and Nora Gahed, 4, of Oakmont drew a picture with markers by the performance tent across from 3 Rivers Outdoor Company’s Outpost.

“I follow 3ROC Outpost on Instagram and I saw that they posted music,” said Nora’s mother, Sarah Gahed. “We knew it was going to be a beautiful night, so we packed a picnic and here we are. You can’t beat this view.”

Allegheny RiverTrail Park’s Rock the River concert series continues with Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers at 7 p.m. July 29 and members of The Clarks on Sept. 30. That show time will be announced later.

ARP includes 16 acres, walking trails, native gardens and a public fishing pier.
