So many people turned out for Etna’s first Winter Street Skate in 2017 that the borough rented a larger rink for last year’s event. The third annual skate will take place on Feb. 24, 2019 along Butler Street.

Etna residents can help beat the winter doldrums by gathering with their neighbors for an evening of outdoor fun at the 3rd annual Etna Winter Street Skate on Sunday, Feb. 24.

The borough will set up a portable ice skating rink in the middle of the street for the free event, which will take place from 4 to 9 p.m. along Butler Street between High and Freeport streets.

After approximately 400 people turned out for the inaugural skate in 2017, the borough rented a larger rink to accommodate the number of people interested in skating.

In addition to skating, a variety of family-friendly activities are planned.

The event is being sponsored by Borough of Etna, the Etna Economic Development Corp., the Etna Deck Hockey Association and the Etna Volunteer Fire Dept.
