Fox Chapel Area High School senior Colin Westerberg, senior Lilygrace Goodworth and sophomore Marin Cusano participated in the Pittsburgh Cool Schools Polar Plunge Feb. 24 at Acrisure Stadium on Pittsburgh’s North Side. Money raised benefitted the school district’s Special Olympics Unified Sports teams.

Members of Fox Chapel Area High School Best Buddies took the plunge to raise money for the school district’s Special Olympics Unified Sports teams.

Students participated in the Pittsburgh Cool Schools Polar Plunge on Feb. 24 at Acrisure Stadium on Pittsburgh’s North Side. Fox Chapel Area students raised $30,558 — the most of any school district in Pennsylvania.

During the month of February, the Kramer Family matched every donation given to Fox Chapel Area’s team, dollar for dollar.

Both Fox Chapel Area High School and Dorseyville Middle School students participated in this year’s event. This was Dorseyville Middle School’s first time taking the plunge.
