Fox Chapel Area to begin kindergarten registration

Registration for children in the Fox Chapel Area School District entering kindergarten in the fall of 2022 is set to begin.

Parents first must complete online registration forms, which they can do starting Feb. 9, at http://register.fcasd.edu.

In-person registration at each school is scheduled for March, during which parents or guardians must present a certificate of birth, immunization records, two proofs of residency, and a photo ID.

Children must be 5 on or before Sept. 1 to be enrolled for the 2022-2023 school year. The child must be immunized in accordance with Pennsylvania Department of Health regulations.

In-person orientation meetings for parents and guardians are scheduled in February. The district also offers 2022-2023 kindergarten story times. Further information can be found at https://www.kdgfcasd.com.

Fairview Elementary

Parent Orientation Meeting: Feb. 9, 6-7 p.m.

Registration: March 9, 9-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. Parents/guardians chose a specific time once they complete their online registration.

Hartwood Elementary

3730 Saxonburg Boulevard, Indiana Township

Parent Orientation Meeting: Feb. 8, 6-7 p.m.

Registration: March 9, 8-11 a.m. and 1-2:30 p.m. Parents/guardians choose a specific time once they complete the online registration.

Kerr Elementary

341 Kittanning Pike, O’Hara

Parent Orientation Meeting: Feb. 10, 6-7 p.m.

Registration: March 8, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Parents/guardians choose a specific time once they complete the online registration.

O’Hara Elementary

115 Cabin Lane, O’Hara

Parent Orientation Meeting: Feb. 10, 6-7 p.m.

Registration: March 10, 10 a.m.-noon and 1-3 p.m. Parents/guardians choose a specific time once they complete the online registration.
