Car wash fundraiser
The Fox Chapel Area girls volleyball team will have a car wash from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Aug. 28.
The fundraiser will be in the Aspinwall municipal parking lot, 241 Freeport Road, across from Jiffy Lube.
Car show
The Hampton Presbyterian Church at 2942 East Hardies Road in Gibsonia is hosting a car show Aug. 28 from 2 to 8 p.m.
All makes and models of vehicles are welcome.
Family-friendly fun, music by a DJ and various food booths will be available. Feel free to bring your own tables, chairs and EZ-ups.

Cub Scout picnic
Cub Scout Pack 381 invites all boys and girls in grades K-5 to attend a back-to-scouting picnic Aug. 28 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Camp Guyasuta, 300 23rd St., Sharpsburg, PA 15215.
Learn about all that scouting has to offer, such as hiking, camping, nature, science, citizenship, first aid, sports and more.

Donations needed
The Harvest Fair at the Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church is accepting donations until Aug. 28.
Donation hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays. Use the lower door on Springhouse Lane.
Furniture, artwork, housewares , children’s toys, jewelry and current books are all accepted. No TVs, mattresses, bed pillows, encyclopedias, text books or computers will be accepted.

50-year reunion scheduled
Members of the Fox Chapel Area Class of 1971 are invited to the 50th reunion Sept. 24.
The celebration will be at the Syria Mosque in Cheswick from 5 to 11 p.m. in the outdoor pavilion.
A buffet dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Enjoy a night with DJ Grover and dance to music that includes oldies, ‘60s and ‘70s, soul, line dancing and requests.
The cost is $65 per person and is due by Sept. 1. Reservations after Sept. 1 will cost $75.

Adopt-a-block program
The Best of Blawnox Organization introduces a new volunteer opportunity for community members.
Adopt-a-block is a volunteer program aimed at keeping the streets of Blawnox free from litter and debris.
Volunteers will be assigned one or more designated neighborhood blocks to clean up regularly.
The recommended commitment is a few times a month when it is convenient.
