Sharpsburg appointment
Sharpsburg businesswoman Nanci Goldber was named the newest member of the borough’s Human Rights Commission.
She was sworn in by Mayor Brittany Reno at the April 28 council meeting.
HRC meets the fourth Tuesdays at 7 p.m. via Zoom.

Comprehensive plan update
A public meeting to discuss Aspinwall’s developing comprehensive plan is set for May 16 from 6-8 p.m. at St. Scholastica Pastoral Center, 309 Brilliant Ave.
The firm Pashek MTR will deliver a presentation on where things are in the process of forming the 10-year plan.
Residents are welcome to give feedback on the project.

Civil War Roundtable
The Greater Pittsburgh Civil War Roundtable will meet June 20 at 7 p.m. at the Hampton Township Community Center on 1301 McCully Road, in Hampton.
Michael Kraus, curator of Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum in Oakland, will present, “Civil War Treasures and Stories from the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall.”
Lecture is free and open to the public. Masks and social distancing required.
Shaler reunion
The Shaler Area High School Class of 1975 will hold a 65th Birthday Reunion Saturday, June 4th at the Teutonia Mannerchor of Pittsburgh from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Tickets are $55 each, which includes a buffet dinner.
A cash bar will be available and entertainment will include music, a reunion themed photo booth and karaoke.
Teutonia Mannechor is located at 857 Phineas Street, on Pittsburgh’s North Side.

Car show
Hampton Presbyterian Church is hosting a car show May 21 from 2-6 p.m. with all makes and models are welcome.
People can bring their own tables, chairs, and EZ-ups for family friendly fun, music by DJ Denny Dutko, and various food booths.
People can stroll among the vehicles, gab with the owners, then sit back, relax, and enjoy the spring evening.
All are welcome.
The church is located at 2942 East Hardies Road in Gibsonia.
