Marshall Manager Julie Bastianini has stepped down to take on the role of borough manager for Fox Chapel.

After seven years of serving Marshall as its township manager, Julie Bastianini is taking her expertise to serve the community of Fox Chapel.

Her resignation was accepted at the June 2 supervisors meeting.

“Our loss is Fox Chapel’s gain. We will miss you. You’ve done a wonderful job. The township has been very lucky to have your services,” said Thomas Madigan, supervisors chair.

Bastianini, who lives in Franklin Park with her family, will be the next borough manager for Fox Chapel.

“I’ve enjoyed working for the dedicated board of supervisors, working with the professional township staff who show up every day for the betterment of Marshall Township, and interacting with and getting to know the residents of the township,” she said.

She will replace Fox Chapel’s current borough Manager Gary J. Koehler, who is retiring, according to the borough’s May 19 agenda.

Bastianini’s start date is mid-July, according to Koehler, who is stepping down after 17 years as borough manager.

“I am confident that Julie’s experience and leadership will be in sync with the borough council’s vision for the continued success of the borough,” Koehler said.

Marshall Council approved the hiring of the firm Public Partners at the June 2 supervisors meeting to conduct the manager search. The position has been advertised.

Interested candidates should submit letters of interest, resumes, salary history and requirements along with three professional references to Public Partners, 3710 Saxonburg Blvd., Suite 202, Pittsburgh, PA 15238 or email info@publicpartnersofpa.com by June 13, as noted in a post about the opening on Pennsylvania Municipal League’s website.
