Linda Naughton, an O’Hara author, is the winner of a Readers’ Favorite International Book Award for her latest novel, “Blackout Trail”.

“Blackout Trail” received a Gold Medal for Dystopian Fiction and was also recognized as a finalist for an Eric Hoffer Book Award.

“Blackout Trail” is a post-apocalyptic disaster thriller. When an electromagnetic pulse brings down the power grid, Dr. Anna Hastings teams up with a father and his young daughter on a perilous journey from Pittsburgh to Maine. It is a story of survival, found family, and how far we’ll go for our loved ones.

The Readers Choice contest received entries from thousands of contestants from more than a dozen countries, ranging from new, independent authors to New York Times best-sellers and celebrities.

Naughton is the author of several novels, children’s books, and the blog, Self-Rescuing Princesses. She is a software engineer, paramedic, and mother of two.
