Jane Maurer, 10, reads Waldo books at Spark Books in Aspinwall after turning in her stamped passport from all the participating businesses.

Spark Books in Aspinwall was chosen as one of 250 bookstores nationwide to participate in Find Waldo Local, a program in its eighth year.

More than 100 children are involved in the search around the business district using a Find Waldo Toolbox provided by the bookstore. When they spot the small cardboard Waldos that are hidden, they get their passport stamped.

After finding all 21 Waldos, they are entered into a raffle for books, gift certificates and gifts from the stores along their way.

The Chamber of Commerce provided the passports and designed the maps.

A pizza party was scheduled for Aug. 3 for all the participants.
