Lauri Ann West Community Center along Powers Run Road in O’Hara will be the site of a drive-in toy drive on Dec. 4 sponsored by the Pittsburgh North Optimist Foundation.

Pittsburgh North Optimist Foundation is conducting a drive-through toy collection from noon to 3 p.m. on Dec. 4 at the Lauri Ann West Community Center parking lot.

The drive-through event is being conducted again this year instead of its annual toy drive party/fundraiser.

The drive-through toy collection is a family event. Santa will hand out candy canes to the children as they drop off their toy or gift donations.

The unwrapped toys or gifts will be used by the Sharpsburg Family Worship Center to support its “Give a Gift “ event to benefit children ages 18 and under.

Donations need not be exclusively toys. Age-appropriate gifts for teens are also accepted.

Monetary donations are also welcome.

Monetary donations can be made by visiting the organization’s website at www.pittsburghoptimist.com or via Paypal or by mailing a check to PNOF, Somer Obernauer, 616 Glengary Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15215 made payable to PNOF.

The community center is located at 1220 Powers Run Road in O’Hara Township.
