Police seek suspect in Sharpsburg armed robbery

The Allegheny County Police are seeking information on a man who robbed the Family Dollar in Sharpsburg on Wednesday.

County police responded to a request for assistance by Sharpsburg police after the Family Dollar on the 900 block of Main Street was robbed at gunpoint.

Investigators described the suspect as a black man wearing a gray Under Armour hoodie, black pants and black shoes. He is said to be roughly 6 feet tall and brandished a black gun during the robbery.

Police said the man stole $125. He fled in a 2005 red Ford Focus SE.

Anyone with information is asked to call county police at 833-ALL-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.
