Single-lane restrictions will occur along southbound Route 28 near the Highland Park Bridge on July 24 and 25.

Motorists should plan for single-lane traffic restrictions along southbound Route 28 this weekend from Millvale to O’Hara.

Work will begin at 7 p.m. tonight and last through 8 p.m. Saturday, PennDOT announced.

The project spans the Highland Park Bridge to the Millvale exit.

Crews from Gulisek Construction will be patching concrete and sealing the bridge decks. Work is part of a $11.54 million improvement project that is expected to last through spring 2021.

There won’t be any work done this weekend along northbound Route 28 in that area.

Motorists can check the status of the project at 511PA.com.
