The Herald area's latest coronavirus numbers for Jan. 13

As coronavirus cases continue to surge in Allegheny County and across the country, the communities within The Herald coverage area seeing varying numbers of positive cases and deaths.

As of Jan. 13, there have been 244 total cases of the novel coronavirus in Fox Chapel since March, according to the latest information provided by an interactive Allegheny County covid-19 map. One death has been reported, and 2,041 tests have been administered to Fox Chapel residents.

Fox Chapel’s case rate is 453 per 10,000 residents.

• Since the pandemic began, Aspinwall has had 79 total cases of the virus. In that time, Aspinwall has seen one death and 675 tests have been administered to its residents. Aspinwall’s case rate is 282 per 10,000 residents.

• In O’Hara, 404 total cases of the virus have been reported, with two deaths. A total of 2,770 tests have been administered to O’Hara residents, and the case rate is 481 per 10,000 residents.

• Sharpsburg has had 93 cases of the virus and one death. A total of 821 tests have been administered to Sharpsburg residents, and the case rate is 270 per 10,000 residents.

• In Blawnox, 62 total cases of the virus have been reported. There has been one death reported, and 350 tests have been administered to Blawnox residents. The case rate is 433 per 10,000 residents.

• Indiana Township has had 406 cases of the virus with four deaths reported. There have been 2,025 tests administered to Indiana residents, and the case rate is 560 per 10,000 residents.
