Turnquist, Chimel and McCaffrey finish 1-2-3 in Aspinwall Democratic Council primary

Heath R. Turnquist, Mark Chimel II and Patti McCaffrey were the three top vote getters in the May 16 Democratic primary for nominations to three seats on Aspinwall Council, according to unofficial Allegheny County Election results.

Turnquist had 379 votes; Chimel, 362 votes; and McCaffrey 359 votes with 100% of precincts reporting.

They were followed by Louis Curcio Jr with 324 votes and David C. Brown with 285 votes. There were 15 Democratic write in votes.

On the Republican ticket, Timothy P. McLaughlin had 144 votes; Terry Nelson Taylor 110 votes and Sharon Donnick 79 votes with 100% of precincts reporting. There were 144 Republican write-in votes cast.
