The Friends of the Bethel Park Library is a nonprofit organization that promotes Bethel Park Public Library and raises money to provide resources that the library cannot purchase through its budget.

During September, Love Your Library Month in Allegheny County, the Friends donated $15,719, which the Bethel Park library plans to use for the purchase of furniture for its computer lab and activity panels for the children’s library.

A large part of the donation will support sensory materials and manipulatives for the children’s Cozy Corner, according to Mary Ann Raymer, Friends president.

The library is located at the Bethel Park Municipal Building, 5100 W. Library Ave. For more information, visit www.bethelparklibrary.org.
