Pittsburgh police were dispatched to the East Hills neighborhood Friday night in response to a ShotSpotter alert about nine rounds.

A teenage girl was shot in the leg Friday night in Pittsburgh’s East Hills neighborhood.

Police responded around 10:30 p.m. to the 2200 block of East Hills Drive, where they found the girl outside with the injury, according to reports.

Officers administered first aid on the teenage victim until paramedics arrived on the scene. Pittsburgh EMS then transported her to the hospital in stable condition, the report said.

According to the report, the Mobile Crime Unit identified some damage to a nearby residence.

No one in the residence was injured and police are working to review camera footage and interview witnesses, according to Eliza Durham, a spokeswoman from Pittsburgh Police Department.

The investigation is ongoing.
