Bike recipient Bentley Hilliard, 11, of Butler, accompanied by his mom, April Hilliard, and sister, Mia Hilliard, tries out his new adaptive bike presented by employees of Guardian Protection in Marshall Township on Sept. 22, in conjunction with Variety - the Children’s Charity, of Wexford. In the background is Guardian President Bryan Cipoletti, who also rode in the celebratory bike parade after the bikes were presented.

Guardian Protection employees presented adaptive bikes to children from Butler and New Castle on Sept. 22, in festivities at the company’s corporate headquarters on Thorn Hill Road in Marshall Township in conjunction with Variety the Children’s Charity, of Wexford.

“Our goal is to make life better by making it safer. Our commitment to Variety’s My Bike program is an extension of that goal,” said Bryan Cipoletti, president of Guardian Protection. “That the employees of Guardian can come together to enhance the life of a child through a bike is gratifying for each and every one of us.”

Bentley Hilliard, 11, of Butler and Declyn Joseph, 6, of New Castle rode in a celebratory parade after getting their new bicycles.

Funds for the bikes were raised through Guardian employee activities, such as 50-50 raffles, over the past two years.
