Hampton Township’s annual farmers market is scheduled to return July 1 with a new layout that promotes social distancing and other precautions to protect patrons and vendors.

The rain-or-shine market is set up in Hampton Community Park from 3 to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays through the middle of October.

The farmers market will be following guidelines from the Allegheny County Department of Health, which includes a “one-way” flow for foot traffic to minimize contact with other shoppers.

Other measures include:

• Face masks worn by shoppers and vendors

• Frequent use of hand sanitizer

• Limiting the number of shoppers at one time

• No on-site sampling

The park is located at 3101 McCully Road.
