The volunteer fire chief in Homestead has been removed from his position as the result of a disorderly conduct arrest in February.

Timothy Eads was relieved of his duties with the Homestead Volunteer Fire Department, according to Homestead Solicitor Samuel Delfonso, according to TribLive news partner WTAE.

Court documents show that Eads was charged Feb. 13 following an incident at Steel Valley High School in which he got into a fight with a school security guard Rayshad Allen.

The department posted to its Facebook page on Feb. 19 that Eads was placed on a leave of absence while the investigation was underway.

Delfonso said a new chief has been voted in.
