Pittsburgh police said a man is in critical condition Saturday, Aug. 6, 2022, after being shot in the head in McKeesport.

A Homestead man has been arrested on attempted homicide and other charges in a shooting Saturday morning in McKeesport.

Davon Blue, 20, was arraigned early Sunday morning before District Judge Robert Paul Dzvonick and was placed in the Allegheny County Jail after failing to post $50,000 bail.

He is accused of wounding a man who was found in a car with a gunshot wound to his head after first responders headed to a shooting scene initially reported at Versailles Avenue and Freemont Street in McKeesport. Investigators later determined the shooting occurred in the 1400 block of Hamilton Street.

The shooting victim, whom authorities have not identified, was taken to an area hospital and was listed in critical condition.

Allegheny County Police said Blue was taken into custody later Saturday without incident. According to online court documents, he also is charged with robbery, aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, firearms violations, false identification to law enforcement and obstructing the administration of law.

He faces an Aug. 15 preliminary hearing.

Court records indicate Blue also has been charged with false imprisonment and simple assault in an incident that happened on Feb. 20, 2021 in Pittsburgh. Separate bail of $5,000 was set in that case.
