Homicide detectives investigating fatal North Braddock shooting

Allegheny County Police Department homicide detectives are investigating the Saturday afternoon shooting death of a Pittsburgh man in North Braddock.

Authorities said police responding to the call of shooting shortly after 3 p.m. Saturday found Theodore B. Jones, 52, of Pittsburgh, along the 1500 block of Beech St., suffering from gunshot wounds.

Jones was taken to UPMC Mercy Hospital. According to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner, Jones was pronounced dead at the hospital at 3:59 p.m.

Detectives asked that anyone with information about the shooting to call the County Police Tip Line 1-833-ALL-TIPS. Callers may remain anonymous.
