Swing into spring

“Harmony in Spring” will entertain during the AARP #595 spring luncheon.

This ensemble of five talented ladies will entertain during a lunch of stuffed shells, meatballs, sauce, salad, rolls and dessert. Members ($12) and guests ($15) must make reservations for the March 1 event by mailing checks payable to AARP #595 to 4043 Crestwood Drive, Gibsonia, PA 15044 by Feb 19. Meeting begins at 12 p.m. with a 12:30 p.m. buffet at Hampton Presbyterian Church, 2842 E Hardies Road, Gibsonia.

The April 3 meeting features David Hall and his stimulating “Team Trivia” program featuring history and fun facts of Pittsburgh. It begins at noon.

Meetings are held the first Tuesdays at Hampton Presbyterian Church, 2842 E Hardies Road, Gibsonia. Annual membership is $7 a person.

Community center classes

Pine Community Center is offering a variety of events in the coming weeks.

Muck ‘n Mess: This is a fun chance for kids to do messy crafts and try out experiments. We make items such as slime, spaghetti art, volcanoes and more! The next two sessions of Muck ‘n Mess will be on Feb. 23 and March 30 from 2-3 p.m. This program is located in the Pine Community Center and is for ages 4-8. PCC members are $8 and non-members are $12. Sign up on the Pine Community Center website.

Preschool Open Gym: Every Thursday from 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Pine Community Center. It is a time of independent play, parent supervision is required. Members are free and non-members are $6. No need to enroll simply drop in on Thursday. The age range is from 1-5 years old. There will be fun toys and games set-up in the gym such as tumbling mats, big blue imagination blocks, bowling and more! This is a fun chance to play right before nap time.

Kids Dodgeball Night: Sign up your kid for a dodgeball night at the Pine Community Center. The dates are Feb. 24, March 31 and April 28. Kids will have a whole court to themselves to play dodgeball. Plus, there will be snacks and refreshments for them as well. Kids Dodgeball Night is for ages 11-14 years old, and it will start at 5:30 p.m. PCC members are $6 and non-members are $12.
