Teachers contract ratified

Chartiers Valley School Board voted to ratify a four-year collective bargaining agreement with the Chartiers Valley Federation of Teachers.

The period covered by the contract is July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2026. The average salary increase is 3.18%. The agreement provides for increased health care contributions, as health care premiums continue to rise.

Two days of Collierfest set

Collierfest 2023 is scheduled for Sept. 22 and 23 at Collier Park, 5 Lobaugh St.

Cruisin’ Collier Park will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, featuring live music and food and drinks available for purchase.

The main event is from 3 to 10 p.m. Saturday, with more live music, kids’ games, food and craft vendors.

Public Safety Day in Scott

Scott Township Public Safety Day is scheduled from noon to 4 p.m. Sept. 9 at Scott Park.

Police, fire and emergency medical services will be on hand with equipment from their fields and personnel to meet and greet. Activities and demonstrations are featured, and refreshments served.

Heidelberg seniors meet

Heidelberg’s monthly seniors gathering will be at 1 p.m. Sept. 22, with lunch and at the Heidelberg Community Room.

Collier Township Parks & Recreation presents line dance classes with Claudette Biers for participants ages 18 and older.

Outdoor sculptures exhibited

Public Art Bridgeville’s second annual Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition is on display through Feb. 29.

College Club meets

The College Club of Carnegie will meet on Sept. 9 at Scoglio’s Restaurant, 661 Andersen Drive, Foster Plaza, Building 7, Green Tree.

Ukrainian food festival

On Sept. 8-9, the Parish of Sts. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church will host its 12th annual Ukrainian food festival, featuring homemade fare from the church kitchen and outdoor grill, basket raffles and tours of the church, 220 Mansfield Blvd., Carnegie.
