In brief: Elfinwild Lions plan spaghetti dinner

The Elfinwild Lions Club is holding a drive-thru free-will offering spaghetti dinner at Elfinwild Presbyterian Church, Mt. Royal Blvd., 3-6 p.m. Oct. 16.

The dinner includes salad, spaghetti (choice of sausage, beef or veggie sauce), breadstick and dessert.

Lantern tours

Depreciation Lands Museum will offer a walking tour through our its cemetery and Talley Cavey Village, entirely by lantern light. Meet Christina Sample and hear about the infamous Simon Girty. Keep your eyes open for a glimpse of the deacon in the cemetery. You may just catch that rascal Simon Girty around the grounds as well.

The museum is located in Hampton Township at 4743 South Pioneer Road.

Clay shoot

St. Barnabas Charities will host its first sporting clays event Oct. 27 at Seven Springs Mountain Resort in Champion.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., with flight time at 9:45 a.m. The clay shoot includes a continental breakfast, lunch, silent auction with mobile bidding, an awards ceremony, including Top Gun, Top Team, Top Female and special events, including 5-Stand and fun games.

Veterans Day 5K

The 16th annual Operation Troop Appreciation Veterans Day 5K run/walk will take place Nov. 7 in Hampton Community Park.

Trophies and prizes are awarded to the first-place man and woman from the overall field as well as the Masters category. Medals are awarded to the top three finishers (male and female) in each of 13 age groups. There is also a wide assortment of creative and unique door prizes.

Funds from the race are used to provide care packages to active duty troops.

Vendors wanted

Crafters and small business owners are being sought for the Hampton Bands Holiday Extravaganza Holiday Market planned for 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Dec. 4.
