Family Fun Festival

Calvary Baptist Church will host a Family Fun Festival from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 25. This free event is for all ages.

There will be games, activities, food and prizes. The Church is at 4765 S Pioneer Road, Allison Park, PA 15101.

Pumpkins for sale

The annual Pumpkin Fest and Flea Market is set for Oct. 9 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Ascension Lutheran Church on Peebles Road.

Freshly baked apple and pumpkin pies will be for sale as well as hot dogs, ham barbecues and other treats.

Veterans Day 5k

The 16th annual Operation Troop Appreciation Veterans Day 5K run/walk will take place Nov. 7 in Hampton Community Park.

Trophies and prizes are awarded to the first-place man and woman from the overall field as well as the Masters category. Medals are awarded to the top three finishers (male and female) in each of 13 age groups. There is also a wide assortment of creative and unique door prizes.

Funds from the race are used to provide care packages to active duty troops.

Ladies Day Out

Enjoy an afternoon of food, prizes, shopping, raffles and fun as St. Barnabas Charities hosts an exclusive Ladies Day Out event from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 18 at Trees Manor at St. Barnabas, 660 Warrendale Road, Gibsonia.

Tickets include chances to win prizes in drawings held every 30 minutes. Some of the prizes include cash, a Chloe handbag, getaways and more. Participants can also shop with exclusive vendors and enjoy cocktails and food stations provided by Il Pizzaiolo. There will be theme-basket and 50/50 raffles. The event includes indoor festivities as well as tented outdoor space.

Tickets cost $80 per person and include a chance to win prizes, food, shopping, cocktails and more. You do not need to be present to win prizes.

Proceeds benefit the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund, which provides more than $7 million in care to residents and patients that cannot afford their care. To donate to the Free Care Fund, text the word ‘GIVE’ to 41444.

La Roche college fair

More than 100 colleges and universities will participate in the North Pittsburgh College Fair from 6 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 4 at La Roche University’s Kerr Fitness & Sports Center in McCandless.

One of the largest college fairs in Western Pennsylvania, the fair will host universities, colleges and technical schools from across the country.

High school students and their parents will have the chance to meet with representatives from each school to learn more about their campuses and academic programs.

Presented by La Roche and the Northern Area Counselor’s Consortium, the fair is organized by the following local school districts: Avonworth, Fox Chapel Area, Hampton, North Allegheny, Northgate, North Hills, Pine-Richland and Shaler Area.

Event parking is free, and face masks are required indoors.

Farmers market

The Hampton Township Farmers Market operates from 3 to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays through Oct. 13.

It features local produce, honey, baked goods, spices and a variety of other items.

Food trucks will be on site several times during the season, with notices posted on the township website.

The farmers market is located in Hampton Community Park, 3101 McCully Road.
