Church hosts spaghetti dinner
Hampton Presbyterian Church will host a spaghetti dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. March 17 to support youth group mission trips.
The menu features spaghetti, meatballs, salad, bread and desserts in the fellowship hall. Gluten-free options and takeout will be available.
A freewill donation is accepted. Silent auction baskets and raffle baskets will be featured for more fundraising opportunities.

Depreciation Lands tea party
A tea party for adults is scheduled for 2 to 4 p.m. March 3 at the Depreciation Lands Museum, 4743 S. Pioneer Road, Hampton.
You will be treated to a variety of hot teas, scones, sandwiches, cakes and other Colonial era goodies, served in the museum’s 18th century-style tavern by gracious costumed servants.

Trivia night at library
Hampton Community Library Trivia Night is scheduled for March 1.
Doors open at 6:30, and trivia begins at 7. The program ends by 9:30.
Assemble your team and get ready for a night of laughter and friendly competition. The cost is $20 per person, with six to 10 people per table.

Lenten fish fry
Saints Martha and Mary Parish will host a fish fry from 4 to 7 p.m. Fridays during Lent, except Good Friday, at St. Catherine of Sweden Church on Wildwood Road in Hampton.
Fish dinners offer a choice of baked or fried cod or steamed shrimp and include two side dishes and dessert. Fish sandwiches, macaroni and cheese, fish and shrimp tacos, and pizza also are available. The complete menu is available at stsmarthaandmaryparish.org.
The dining room in St. Catherine’s Farmer Hall is open from 4 to 7, and everything on the menu is available for takeout. Orders can be placed online or calling 412-486-6001. Dinners can be picked up in Farmer Hall or through a curbside delivery lane. Please allow 20 minutes for your order to be prepared and specify your preferred choice for order pickup.
Sealarks meeting
Sealarks Women’s Group will meet at 1 p.m. March 13 at Memorial Park Church, 8800 Peebles Road, McCandless to hear Amy Steele, Northland Public Library executive director, present “A Trip to Portugal.”
The group provides Christian fellowship and social activity for women who are alone. All women alone are welcome to attend and to consider joining the group. Contact Edie at 412-487-7194 for more information.
Master gardener visits club
Ingomar Garden Club will meet at 10:30 a.m. March 6 at Northmont Presbyterian Church, 8169 Perry Highway, McCandless.
The business meeting will be followed by a light luncheon and guest speaker Bill Goff, Penn State master gardener. He will discuss the importance of butterfly weed in the lifecycle of the monarch butterfly, demonstrate the process of starting this beautiful perennial, and give instructions on how to care for it in the garden.

Easter egg hunt
Get the youngsters ready for Hampton’s annual Easter egg hunt, scheduled for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 23 at Hampton Community Park.
Spring cleaning events
Township Little Cleanup Day is scheduled for April 6, beginning at 8 a.m. at the Hampton Community Center.
Recycle Rama will take place from 9 a.m. to noon May 11 in Hampton Community Park.
Outdoor events on horizon
Plan ahead for the return of popular outdoor events in Hampton.
Pints in the Park events are scheduled for 5 to 9 p.m. May 17, June 28, July 26, Aug. 23 and Sept. 27 in the parking lot of the Hampton Community Center, 3101 McCully Road. The events feature food trucks, entertainment and beverages for over- and under-21 guests.
The Hampton Farmer’s Market starts June 5 and runs from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays through Oct. 9, also in the community center parking lot.
