Mt. Royal Boulevard between Duncan Avenue and Park View Lane is closed through mid-March. Crews are conducting drainage improvements including cross pipe, parallel pipe and inlet replacement. Traffic is being detoured.
Sealarks Women’s Group
Sealarks Women’s Group will meet at 1 p.m. March 9 at Memorial Park Church, 8800 Peebles Road, McCandless. The group provides Christian fellowship and social activity for women alone – widowed, divorced or never married. All women alone are welcome to attend and consider joining the group. The program will be a demonstration of Tai Chi. For additional information, call 412-487-7194.
AARP Spring Luncheon
AARP #595 is holding its Spring Luncheon at noon March 1 featuring “Harmony in Song.” This ensemble of five talented ladies will entertain during lunch of stuffed shells, meatballs, sauce, salad, rolls and dessert. Cost is $12 for members $12 and $15 for guests. Reservations are required by mailing checks payable to AARP #595 to 4043 Crestwood Drive, Gibsonia, PA 15044 by Feb 19. The meeting begins at noon with a 12:30 p.m. buffet at Hampton Presbyterian Church, 2842 E. Hardies Road in Gibsonia. Annual membership is just $7 a person.
Marriage ministry
All interested couples are invited to attend a special study at Hampton Presbyterian Church. It is a study for couples to learn fun and practical ways to enhance their relationship by cracking the code of communication skills through a five-week video series called “Love Talk” by Dr.s Les and Leslie Parrott. Included in the series are worship, video teaching and small group discussions with other couples.
Meetings will take place on bi-weekly Sundays: Feb. 27, March 13 and 27, April 10 and 24, from 6-7:30 p.m. (after the Second Sunday Suppers on March 13 and April 10). Childcare is provided.
