Incredible Edible Landscaping
The Longvue Acres Garden Club will present “Incredible Edible Landscaping” by Pat Morgan, Penn State Master Gardener, as its August program.
Pat will show how to blend fruits, vegetables, and fruits to create a garden both delightful and delicious. The program begins at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 22, at Northmont United Presbyterian Church, 8169 Perry Highway, McCandless.
The club’s programs are on the fourth Tuesday of the month and are free and open to the public. For more information contact longvueacresgardenclub1950@gmail.com.
Golf outing
The Myasthenia Gravis Association of Western PA will host the Third Annual MGA Golf Outing to benefit the organization’s free patient support services on Sept. 24 at Pheasant Ridge Golf Club in Gibsonia. Registration/check-in starts at 11:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. In addition to 18 holes of golf, attendees will also be treated to a grilled lunch during registration and a buffet dinner.
Individual registration is $125 per golfer and registration for a foursome is $500. Tickets are also available for a dinner-only option at $30 per person. The outing will feature a number of different activities including a hole-in-one contest, a putting contest, as well as several other on-course events.
