McCandless crossing guards

The Town of McCandless is seeking school crossing guards for the 2023-2024 school year.

Applicants must be at least 21 and will work in morning and afternoon sessions approximately 17 to 20 hours a week.

Community Day

McCandless Community Day is Saturday, Sept. 9 at the town hall parking lot on Grubbs Road.

Musical and dance acts, food, rides and games kick off at 4 p.m. The Frank Farina Memorial Car Cruise will take place from 2 to 6 p.m. at North Allegheny Intermediate School.

The night finishes with fireworks.

Hampton Presbyterian Church

Jeremy Casella will present a workshop from noon to 3 p.m. Sept. 30 at Hampton Presbyterian Church. Those interested in attending can RSVP on the church webpage, hamptonpresbyterian.net, or email: stephanie@hamptonpresbyterian.net.

The cost is $35 at the door, which includes lunch, drinks, and printed material. Please note your dietary restrictions with your RSVP.

A concert begins at 7 p.m. no tickets are needed, but a freewill offering will be taken.

The church is located at 2942 East Hardies Road in Gibsonia.
