Primrose School

Preschoolers at Primrose School of Wexford recently donated 237 school supply items to The Education Partnership, which provides school supplies to under-resourced schools in the Pittsburgh area.

The school collected pencils, markers, notebooks and other supplies for students in time for the back-to-school season.

AARP 595

AARP 595 welcomes new members and guests to its meetings on the first Tuesday of the month at 12:30 p.m. at Hampton Presbyterian Church, 2842 E. Hardies Road.

The group offers fellowship, luncheons, entertainment and trips. Dues are $10 a year. The next meeting is Sept. 5, with entertainment by Craig Zinger, a comic and pianist.

Ingomar Garden Club

The September meeting of the Ingomar Garden Club will be held at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 6 at St. Thomas Anglican Church, 4106 St. Thomas Drive, Gibsonia, in the Picnic Pavilion.

The business meeting will be followed by a presentation on dish garden diversity by floral designer Joni Kappler.

Prospective members are invited; please bring a brown bag lunch and a drink, desserts will be provided. Visit ingomar-garden-club.com for information.

Sealarks Women’s Group

Sealarks Women’s Group will meet at 4 p.m. Sept. 13 at Memorial Park Church, 8800 Peebles Road, McCandless for the season’s kickoff dinner.

The group provides Christian fellowship and social activity for women alone.

All women alone are welcome to attend and consider joining the group. Cost is $10 for guests and $5 for members. Contact Karen at 412-366-3109 for information.

Golf outing

The Myasthenia Gravis Association of Western PA will host the Third Annual MGA Golf Outing to benefit the organization’s free patient support services Sept. 24 at Pheasant Ridge Golf Club in Gibsonia. Registration/check-in starts at 11:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. In addition to 18 holes of golf, attendees will also be treated to a grilled lunch during registration and a buffet dinner.

Individual registration is $125 per golfer and registration for a foursome is $500. Tickets for a dinner-only option are $30 per person. The outing will feature a hole-in-one contest, a putting contest and other on-course events.
