Holiday Happenings event

St. Brendan’s Episcopal Church in Franklin Park will host Holiday Happenings from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 23.

The event will feature dozens of vendors with quality crafts such as home decor, jewelry, pottery, clothing and specialty foods. A cookie walk will provide dozens of festive, home-baked treats for sale.

Five varieties of soups will be available for purchase by the quart. Gift card baskets worth over $1,000 will be raffled and live holiday entertainment presented.

The fundraiser supports the mission of St. Brendan’s, located at 2365 McAleer Road.

Middle school musical

The North Allegheny Middle School fall musical, “Into the Woods Jr.,” will held at the senior high school.

The musical centers on a baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King’s festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk.

Performances are at 7 p.m. Nov. 14 and 16 and 2 p.m. Nov. 17. Tickets cost $15.75 plus online service fees and can be purchased through showclix.com.

Salute to Veterans breakfast

Franklin Park will hold its second annual Salute to Veterans breakfast at 10 a.m. Nov. 16 at the Blueberry Hill Park Activity Center, 1604 Blaine’s Way.

The breakfast is to honor men and women who have served and are currently serving in the armed forces. Veterans from all communities are welcome to attend.

Marshall fun run

Marshall’s Festive Fall Fun Run is scheduled for 10 a.m. Nov. 16, rain or shine, at Knob Hill Community Park, 415 Knob Road.

Participants in the family-friendly event are invited to run or walk 1 mile along the park’s trails. The race will be chip-timed by Wolf Creek Race Management.

Give blood

A community blood drive is scheduled for 1 to 6 p.m. Nov. 18 in Kehew Hall at Bradford Woods Community Church, 4836 Wexford Run Road. Walk-ins are welcome.
