‘Songs Through the Decades’
The North Hills Chorale’s Spring Concert “Songs Through the Decades” is a walk through the last 100 years of popular American songs, including such titles as “It Had to Be You,” “That’s Amore,” “Yesterday” and “I Just Called to Say I Love You.”
The concert will be presented at 3 p.m. April 21 at First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown, 5825 Heckert Road, Richland. Further performances are at 7:30 p.m. April 26 and 3 p.m. April 28 at St. Vincent Hall, 8150 McKnight Road, McCandless.

Richland VFD Monte Carlo Night
Richland Volunteer Fire Department will host its annual Monte Carlo Night fundraiser from 7 p.m. to midnight April 27 at the VFD social hall, 5857 Meridian Road.
A $20 donation includes admission, food and beverages. No one under 21 and no outside beverages are permitted. In addition to games of chance, a 50/50 drawing and Chinese auction baskets will be featured.
Proceeds benefit the department’s general and building funds.
Church hosts ‘Junque Sale’
Bakerstown United Methodist Church will host a “Junque Sale” flea market and grab-and-go breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 27 at 5760 William Flynn Highway, Richland.

Northern Tier Library
Events and programs at Northern Tier Regional Library, 4015 Dickey Road, Richland, include:
• Maker Monday at Pine-Richland High School, 2:45 to 5:30 p.m. April 22. Practice your sewing machine skills by making a bandana tote bag.
• NTRL Chess Club, 5 to 6 p.m. April 22. Practice chess skills and play against other youngsters in the community.
The library’s program room will be set up with chess sets and tables for families to meet and play a few rounds in an informal setting. This is a self-directed program for all ages, but registration is requested.
• The Weekly Project, Tuesdays, April 23 to May 21, featuring activities such as cooking, crafting, art and STEM. Each week will showcase a different project. Call 724-449-2665 or register at northerntierlibrary.org to reserve a supply kit that can be picked up on Tuesdays.
• “Japan-Damonia,” 5 to 6:30 p.m. April 24, a celebration involving activities and food from Japan. Participants can make sushi and origami, write in Katakana characters, craft cherry blossoms and more. Families and all ages are welcome to attend. Registration is required.
• Memory Care, 6 to 7 p.m. April 25. Erin McMaster, memory care adviser from Arden Courts, will present a look at the world of memory loss. Registration is required.
