Celebrity golf outing
The HM3, Jerome Bettis & BHS Foundation Celebrity Golf Outing is scheduled for Oct. 11 at Treesdale Golf & Country Club.
Registration is from 9:30 to 11 a.m., with an 11:30 shotgun start. The outing will be followed by a cocktail reception from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., and dinner and entertainment from 6:30 to 10 p.m.
Celebrity golfers include Rocky Bleier, Neil Walker, Merril Hoge, Donnie Iris, Bob Pompeani, Jim Krenn and Craig Patrick. Foursomes and sponsorships are available. Visit hm3independencefund.org for more information.
Richland leaf pickup dates
Richland has set the schedule for its fall leaf pickups. If your Vogel collection day is Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, your leaf collections will be on Oct. 20, Nov. 10 and Dec. 1. If your Vogel collection day is Thursday or Friday, your leaf collections will be on Oct. 22, Nov. 12 and Dec. 3.
The leaf collections are provided to reduce the impact of leaves on the municipal stormwater system, streams and wetlands.
All leaves, garden residue and cuttings must be in biodegradable paper bags and must be out before 6 a.m. on the pickup day.
Bags should be no more than 40 pounds. Tree trimmings — no larger than 3 inches in diameter and smaller than 48 inches in length — must be tied/bound into manageable bundles.
