The theme of Hampton Community Library’s “It’s A Wonderful World!” storytime applies to more than just the children.

Parents and other caregivers — grandparents, too! — can bring the little ones on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and stay for as long as what fits well into their schedules.

The program is for youngsters of all ages and abilities, and it starts with stories and songs at 10:30 a.m. An “investigate and create” period comes next, followed by more singing and reading. Then the parachute comes out so the kids can have plenty of fun, and burn off plenty of energy, playing with that.

After one more story-and-song session, participants are invited to stay and play until 12:30, when it probably is time for lunch and a nap, maybe for everyone involved.

There’s no charge, so if you’re looking for a family-friendly weekday outing with your children, grandchildren or youngsters you’re watching, visit www.hamptoncommunitylibrary.org for more information. And while you’re there, check the library’s many other offerings that help make for a “Wonderful World.”
