PITTSBURGH (AP) – The body of a woman who apparently had been murdered was found Wednesday afternoon in an upper level of a downtown department store parking garage, police said.

The Allegheny County coroner’s office declined to release the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.

The victim, who was in her late 20s, was found in a small van by a security guard at the Gimbels parking garage.

Garage officials said the vehicle, carrying a man and woman, entered the garage early New Year’s Day.
