As part of the Kushkushkee Trail Chapter of the N.S.D.A.R.’s Constitution Week, a poster contest was held. The awards ceremony took place on Sept. 28 at the outdoor Learning Garden at Northland Public Library.

The Kushkushkee Trail Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution celebrated Constitution Week 2021 on Sept. 28 with an awards ceremony at Northland Public Library for the eighth Annual “We the People…” Constitution Week Poster Contest. Elementary students and their families gathered to ring bells to commemorate the signing of the U.S. Constitution and to enjoy a program about how the Constitution became our founding document in 1787.

With 143 entries by local students, the poster contest provides an avenue for students to learn about the Constitution while developing their creative and artistic abilities. All entries were displayed in the Children’s Department of Northland Public Library during Constitution Week, Sept. 17-23. Kushkushkee Trail Chapter members Stacey Shaffer, Sylvia Lynn and Lora Koontz led the celebration.
