A man was arrested without incident early Tuesday after police say he forcibly took a woman inside their home during a domestic dispute.

Pittsburgh police officers and SWAT operators responded to the 2700 block of Middletown Road in Crafton Heights around 3:30 a.m. Upon arrival, officials said they learned the man was making threats to harm himself and the woman. A baby was also located inside the house.

Negotiators were able to determine the woman and baby were locked in a bedroom away from the man. SWAT operators were able to get them safely out of the house.

The man, who was not identified, surrendered to police shortly after and was taken into custody.

Charges are pending.
