The death of a 20-year-old man shot in Pittsburgh’s East Hills Tuesday has been ruled a homicide.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man as Michael Smith, who died at the scene at 2300 Wilner Drive and East Hills Drive.

According to police, officers responded to alerts of multiple shots fired around 9:15 p.m.

Officers found Smith unconscious with multiple gunshot wounds. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene.

The medical examiner’s office said Wednesday that Smith died from gunshot wounds to the trunk, head, pelvis and extremities.

No one else was hurt, police said.
