A Clairton man died Monday morning in a motorcycle crash in Pittsburgh’s Hays neighborhood, police said.

Terry J. Neal, 39, was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:24 a.m., 12 minutes after the incident, the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office reported early Tuesday.

Emergency dispatchers received a report of the incident at the intersection of Mifflin Road and Hillburn Street shortly after 8 a.m.

Medics, police and firefighters responded and arrived to find a motorcycle rider had gone over a hillside, Pittsburgh Public Safety spokesman Maurice Matthews said.

Neal was the only one involved in the crash, Matthews said.

No further details were immediately available.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office has not yet released an official cause or manner of death.

Pittsburgh police’s Collision Investigation Unit processed the scene and continues to investigate.
