A man was caught in a crossfire by at least one bullet as drivers in two vehicles reportedly shot at each other Tuesday in Pittsburgh’s Squirrel Hill neighborhood.

Public Safety spokeswoman Emily Bourne said officers were dispatched shortly before 5 p.m. to the 6300 block of Morrowfield for reports of shots fired.

Witnesses said they saw two vehicles traveling at a high rate of speed with one vehicle firing shots toward the other.

Both vehicles fled the scene.

Bourne said a third vehicle, driven by an innocent party, was hit by gunfire.

The driver sustained a minor graze wound to his shoulder. He was treated on scene by medics, and declined to be transported.

Bourne said there were three children also in the vehicle, but none was hurt.

The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Pittsburgh police at 412-323-7800.
