A Pittsburgh man was fatally stabbed late Sunday in North Braddock, authorities said Monday.
Eastern Regional Mon Valley Police — which covers four municipalities, including North Braddock — said they were dispatched to the 1100 block of 4th Street around 9:15 p.m.
They found the victim, identified as Charles A. Pullie, 38, by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office.
First responders rushed him to UPMC Presbyterian hospital, authorities said. He died there at 12:25 a.m. Monday.
Local authorities brought in Allegheny County Police to investigate, spokesman Jim Madalinsky said.
Madalinsky declined additional comment.
Eastern Regional Mon Valley Police did not respond Monday to phone calls or emails seeking comment.
A prepared statement posted by the department online offered “its sincerest condolences to the victim’s family and friends” but provided no details about the killing.
Chief Derrick Turner, who heads the regional force, referred all questions to county police.
