East Allegheny man found dead over hillside in Pittsburgh's Troy Hill
A man was found dead Sunday afternoon over a hillside in Pittsburgh’s Troy Hill neighborhood, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner has identified the man as Bill Bauer, 60, of Pittsburgh’s East Allegheny neighborhood.
Police, medics and firefighters responded around 3 p.m. for reports of an unresponsive man over a hillside in the 1900 block of Lowrie Street near Voegtly Cemetery, which is above Route 28 in the area of the 31st Street Bridge and Rialto Street.
EMS rescue crews used ropes and harnesses to get down the slope and reach Bauer, where medics pronounced him deceased.
