A dead man was found Sunday afternoon over a hillside in Pittsburgh’s Troy Hill neighborhood, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety.

Police, medics and firefighters responded around 3 p.m. for reports of an unresponsive man over a hillside in the 1900 block of Lowrie Street near Voegtly Cemetery, which is above Route 28 in the area of the 31st Street Bridge and Rialto Street.

EMS rescue crews used ropes and harnesses to get down the slope and reach the man, where medics pronounced him deceased.

The man’s identity has not been released.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s office will determine the cause and manner of the man’s death, Pittsburgh Public Safety said.
