Man killed, woman injured in shooting in Munhall

Allegheny County Police are investigating an overnight shooting in Munhall that left one man dead and a woman seriously injured.

According to police, a state trooper heard gunshots around 3:23 a.m. Monday while driving in the 900 block of 8th Avenue.

Police noticed a car leaving the scene and stopped the vehicle on the Rankin Bridge.

Police discovered a 25-year-old man dead at the scene and a woman, also 25, was found shot several times inside the vehicle. She was transported to a hospital in critical condition.

The county medical examiner’s office identified the man as Tirae Terrance Bernard, of Pittsburgh.

Homicide detectives are investigating.
