Man killed, woman wounded in shootings in Pitcairn

A man was killed and a woman was wounded in a shooting in Pitcairn early Saturday afternoon.

Allegheny County 911 was notified of a vehicle rollover and the sound of gunshots in the 300 block of Third Street in Pitcairn just after 1 p.m. Saturday.

First responders found a one-car crash in which both people in the car had been shot.

The passenger, a man, identifed as Donte Broadus, 25, of Braddock Hills, by the county medical examiner’s office, had been shot multiple times. He was dead at the scene.

The driver, a woman, also was shot multiple times. She was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.

Allegheny County Police homicide detectives have initiated an investigation.
