A man was stabbed in the neck early Monday following an argument in Pittsburgh’s North Side.

The victim, who police have not named, was hospitalized in stable condition, police said.

Pittsburgh police were dispatched to the 400 block of Mount Pleasant Road in the city’s Northview Heights neighborhood around 5:30 a.m., spokeswoman Emily Bourne said.

Officers found the victim and provided assistance until paramedics arrived, Bourne said. Pittsburgh EMS then took the man to an area hospital.

A man who stabbed the victim was taken into custody, Bourne said. The two men were arguing inside a nearby home before the stabbing.

The suspect has not been named. Bourne said charges are pending.
