Man stabbed on Pittsburgh’s North Shore

A man was critically injured after being stabbed Friday night near Rivers Casino on Pittsburgh’s North Shore, city police said.

Police said they responded to reports of a man being stabbed in the 700 block of Casino Drive shortly before 8:30 p.m.

The man was taken to a local hospital, where he was reported to be in critical but stable condition, police said.

One person was detained in connection with the stabbing, police said.

The police department’s Major Crimes unit is investigating.
