Man transported to hospital in stable condition after shooting in Larimer

One person was transported to the hospital in stable condition after a shooting in Larimer Monday evening, according to Pittsburgh police.

Officers responded to a 911 call of a male shot in the 6500 block of Winslow Street around 7 p.m., according to police spokesman Maurice Matthews. On scene, first responders found a man with a gunshot wound to the leg. He was conscious and alert while being treated by medics.

No other victims were on scene.

The Violent Crime and Mobile Crime units processed the scene. Police are investigating the incident.
