Man, woman dead after separate shootings in Pittsburgh neighborhoods
Pittsburgh police are investigating two fatal shootings.
A 21-year-old woman was found shot just before 3 p.m. Sunday at Finance Street and North Homewood Avenue by the East Busway overpass in Homewood South, police said.
The woman had a gunshot wound to her upper body. She was taken to a hospital in grave condition, where police say she later died.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner identified the victim as Heaven Budd of Pittsburgh
Police were looking for two male suspects who were wearing masks and black clothing. They fled in a vehicle on North Homewood toward Penn Avenue.
In a separate incident, police were called to Stedman and Fontella streets in the city’s Manchester neighborhood just before 4:30 p.m. Sunday for a man shot inside a vehicle.
Officers found a 29-year-old in the driver’s seat suffering from a gunshot wound to the head and left shoulder. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition and died a short time later, police said.
The county medical examiner identified the man as Joseph Anthony Sees of Pittsburgh.
No description of a suspect or suspects was released.
Police are investigating both shootings.
