Man killed in Homestead shooting

A man died Tuesday at a Pittsburgh hospital after a shooting in Homestead.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner identified him as 26-year-old Eric V. Johnson of Homestead.

Allegheny County police said they were called to West 14th Avenue at 12:02 a.m. Johnson was found with gunshot wounds and taken to UPMC Presbyterian in critical condition. He was pronounced dead shortly before 1 a.m., according to the medical examiner.

Authorities are investigating the shooting and anyone with information about it is asked to call the county police tip line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.
