An incumbent and newly elected supervisor officially joined the Marshall Township Board of Supervisors at its Jan. 5 reorganization meeting.
Nina Faber, who ran on a two-party ticket, joins the board, filling the shoes of longtime Supervisor Anthony “Jack” Candek, who did not seek reelection after serving for 30 years.
James Tracy, who also ran on both tickets, joined the board on June 2 to fill the vacancy left by former Supervisor Philip Troy when he moved out of the township.
Faber and Tracy join Chairman Thomas Madigan and Vice Chairman Robert Edwards, both of whom have terms through 2027, and Jason Bragunier, whose term continues through 2029.
Candek received recognition in December from the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors for his three decades of service.
“On behalf of board and staff, residents, we would echo this and thank you very much and congratulate you on this certificate,” Bragunier said at the December meeting.
Candek said he was going to “miss” serving on the board at his final meeting in December.
“It was very nice. Thank you,” he said.
Marshall’s supervisors meet at 7 p.m. the first and last Mondays of every month in the municipal building, 525 Pleasant Hill Road.
